One of the things that I started out trying to find was an easy to play blues guitar lesson. I quickly found they are as rare as hen’s teeth, although there are plenty of people around willing to take money for stuff they call ‘easy’. In fact most of it requires a fair degree of playing ability before it is anything like approachable by a beginner.
But there are exceptions. Until I came across a guy called Griff Hamlin it had not occurred to me that a very cool 24 bar blues solo, with variations, could be played using just four notes. It was an exciting find because it meant that I could add blues to my learning curve at a much earlier stage than I had anticipated. You can do the same, and it won’t cost you a cent.
