If you are thinking about taking online Rock guitar lessons there are a couple of things it’s good to bear in mind. Despite some appearances to the contrary, and the antics of some garage bands, Rock music is a serious form that has its roots in the Blues. To play it well, you do need to be able first of all to at least play basic guitar. Like most genres, it’s an advanced technique but one that you can pick up quite quickly with a good teacher and regular practice.

When I think of Rock guitar lessons I think of Brad Henecke, who is not only one of the most accomplished electric guitarists you will ever come across, he is also one of the best teachers. His style is to take you from the basics of Rock through scales and barre chords into relatively simple songs such as Hotel California. I think that features in round about the fifth lesson. It’s a challenge but hey! no-one ever said learning the guitar was easy (or they lied if they did – ya gotta work at it ).
